Project Description
With Spanish industry leader EndeF, CFD experts nablaDot and CLENAR, the Aragon Energy Cluster, we are developing simplified models of hybrid (thermal solar and photovoltaic, or PVT) panels.
These models, which run very quickly (in a few minutes per simulated year) allow to accurately predict the thermal and electrical performance of PVT panels. The model interfaces with external climate data, such as the Typical Meteorological Year provided by PVGIS, as a source of external (ambient) conditions for a given location through any arbitrary period of time.
The project has a total budget of Eur 107,000, and has been funded by the Spanish Ministry for Industry, Energy and Tourism under the AEI support programme to contribute to the improvement of the competitiveness of the Spanish industry.
