GFN's María Garcia will present her work on the development of an OpenFOAM-based Computational-Fluid-Dynamics model for solid-oxide fuel-cells (SOFCs). The model uses a multi-domain approach to address the several physical processes in the channels, the electrodes and the electrolyte of a microtubular SOFC.
GFN will present at the 6th OpenFOAM workshop their work on the development of Eulerian-Eulerian multiphase solvers for OpenFOAM.
The contribution
Development of a consistent and conservative Eulerian-Eulerian algorithm for multiphase flows by Ana Cubero, Alberto Sanchez-Insa, Norberto Fueyo
will highlight recent progress in the development of a new Eulerian-Eulerian, multiphase solver for OpenFOAM.
Norberto Fueyo will deliver a presentation entitled Sustainable Hydrogen: Cost and Impacts at the 7th Annual International Conference, Exhibition and Partnering Event "Generating the Hydrogen Fuel Cell Society", Birmingham, 30 March 2011.
GFN has been contracted by the Manila-based Asian Development Bank to conduct an assessment of the energy sectors in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
The GFN was the main organizer of the conference SPEIC10: Towards Sustainable Combustion.
SPEIC10 is a scientific conference on Combustion and related fields, jointly organised by the Portuguese and Spanish Sections of the Combustion Institute. It took place in the island of Tenerife (Spain), on 16–18 June 2010. The Conference was attended by around 100 researchers from over 20 countries and 4 continents. It featured 5 Keynote Lectures, and about 70 contributed papers.
