Kinds of contribution

The conference format allows for two kinds of contribution:

  • An oral presentation of a new piece of research, or a significant development in an existing one; or
  • A poster presentation of a less substantial advancement, or of work-in-progress material.

Paper/poster publication in proceedings

Accepted oral and poster papers will be published electronically prior to the Conference.

  • For poster papers, the poster will be published.
  • For oral papers, the authors have the choice of publishing either a full paper, their presentation slides, or both. A full paper is required if the authors wish their work to be considered for publication in Flow, Turbulence and Combustion (see below).

See instructions for preparing your manuscript and your presentation here.

  • The deadline for your proceedings material is: 31 May 2010.
  • The deadline for sending your presentation is: 13 June 2010

Paper publication in archival journal

Selected papers from SPEIC10: Towards Sustainable Combustion will be published in a special issue of Springer's Flow, Turbulence and Combustion, an international journal published in association with ERCOFTAC. FTC is abstracted/indexed in many services, including Thomson Reuters' Journal Citation Reports® (2008 Impact Factor: 0.776).

The procedure for the publication of conference papers in FTC is as follows:-

  1. Authors wishing their paper to be considered must submit a full manuscript to the Conference proceedings (see above).
  2. The Conference Scientific Committee will select conference papers among those contributed.
  3. These will be sent for a full, independent peer review.
